Novel & Nonfiction November: A 30-Day Writing Challenge

You’ve been meaning to write that book. You’ve been talking about writing that book. You’ve been self-flagellating for NOT writing the book. November is the month you actually make some damn progress.

Write Your Damn Book is a 30-day writing challenge designed to give you the three things you need to make serious progress on your big writing project: accountability, community, and focused time to write.

Every day in November, we’ll meet live on Zoom for one hour of dedicated writing time. No endless craft lessons. No waiting around for inspiration to strike. Just a supportive group of writers showing up, keeping their butts in their seats, and getting words on the page.

By the end of the month, you’ll have logged 30 hours of focused writing time and made at least 22,500 words of progress on your project—and probably a whole lot more. 

Bring the idea for your novel, memoir, essay collection, nonfiction book, or whatever damn book you’ve been meaning to write. You don’t need to start from scratch (this works for a much-needed revision too!) and you don’t need to finish by November 30th. The goal is simpler and a lot more attainable: show up every day and move your book forward.

Writing a book can feel lonely. Finding time to write can feel impossible. And the difference between I want to write a book and I’m legit writing a book is just the commitment of showing up every day.
