💡 What to Expect:
Daily Zoom Sessions: Participate in a one-hour Zoom session every day, where you'll receive inspiration, assignments, and dedicated writing time. Students will be polled on their availability, and Zooms will be recorded for anyone unable to attend live.
Daily Prompts & Publication Targets: Get ready to unleash your creativity with daily prompts and publication targets designed to help you generate ideas, draft essays, and develop pitches that align with what editors are looking for.
Real-Life Examples: Learn from real-life success stories throughout the sprint. Discover what strategies have worked for Courtney, previous students, and other writers, and how you can apply them to your own writing journey.
Live Pitch Feedback: Receive and watch live feedback on pitches during class so you can strengthen your ideas and improve your chances of landing bylines.
Q&A Opportunities: Have burning questions about the writing process, pitching, or finding the right publications? Get answers during our daily Q&A sessions.
Personalized Feedback: Receive personalized feedback from Courtney on two assignments—one flash essay and one full-length essay—to help you refine your work and move it closer to publication.
Classmate Feedback Swaps: For additional feedback, there will be opportunities to engage in two feedback swaps with peers so you can exchange insights, offer constructive criticism, and support one another.
